The HKCCA’s Executive Committee invites you to the following presentation by AON and XL Catlin, kindly hosted by Debevoise.
Food and drinks will be provided. 1 Law Society of Hong Kong CPD point has been applied for. New York and California Approved Jurisdiction policy may apply.
TOPIC: Kidnap, Ransom & Extortion
Recent events and linked atrocities in Paris, Mali and the Philippines have yet again highlighted the hazardous world that we operate and live in, triggering concerns to individuals and organisations alike over whether they and their staff are adequately prepared and protected against such an occurrence.
KRE cover is incredibly broad, comprehensive and reasonable. It is not solely focused on the Kidnapping threat, it also covers Extortion, Hostage Crisis, Illegal Detention, Disappearance and a host of other perils. Hazards that frequently occur in today’s business environment where individuals are conducting business in emerging markets where the rule of law and the local security forces cannot be trusted.
AON will discuss the threats posed and the innovative insurance mitigation solutions available.
XL Catlin will share with us cases on extortion, illegal detention, and disappearance that have occurred recently within the region. With Primary focus on China and the resultant effects the recent downturn has produced.
