TOPIC: “Same Bed Different Dreams” – How to handle Joint Ventures disputes in the PRC

When entering into the China market, one of the strategies often adopted by international companies is to form a joint venture with local Chinese companies.  However, it is never easy to manage a joint venture in China, given the difference in background, culture, and ways of doing business.

In this seminar, we shall discuss how to handle joint venture disputes in China from the following angles.  The speaker will draw on practical experience in handling real life cases.

  • Before entering into a JV contract, how to be well prepared in case a dispute arises.
  • In the course of the JV relationship, how to manage potential disputes with your JV partner.
  • If a dispute has arisen, how to resolve the dispute.
