The Technology, Media and Telecommunication Industry group of the HKCCA is delighted to invite you to its first event, generously supported by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

We hope to share with our members the personal stories and experience of senior lawyers in major tech companies including HKT, Wharf T&T and ARRIS for the promotion of gender diversity.

It’s hardly news that the tech industry has a gender imbalance issue.  At Google, women make up only 17% of the company’s technical workforce. At Facebook, it’s 15%, according to Forbes.

Does this hold true for those in the legal team within technology organisations?

How do women cope in this male-dominated field?

Is there a glass ceiling ?

And what can women do to survive and also thrive?

This panel will explore gender issue in the tech sector, with a special focus on lawyers. You will hear personal stories and experience from senior lawyers in major tech companies including HKT, Wharf T&T, and Arris on how to tackle gender-related issues at work.

Grace Chan - Senior Counsel, APAC - ARRIS

Agnes Tan – VP President, Legal, Regulatory & Carrier affairs – Wharf T&T

Alison Ko – Chief Legal Counsel - HKT

Beverly Chau - Asia Pacific Legal Counsel - L’Oréal
