On Thursday, December 7, Latham & Watkins hosted a seminar entitled “Global Regulatory Perspectives on Initial Coin Offerings: Structuring and Execution.” Hong Kong counsel Simon Hawkins and associate Kieran Donovan discussed the implications of global regulation on ICOs, including what it means to define a token securities, securities law implications on token securities, structuring and executing a coin offering and secondary market trading considerations.
They also discussed the findings in the recent “Best Practices for Token Sales” report, released by the Fintech Associate of Hong Kong earlier this week.
